Son of Spanish parents, Antonio “Kiko Rui” was born in Toulouse in 1964. He learned about flamenco guided by Manolo Sanlúcar in Southern Spain. After obtaining the first place in the Nîmes International Contest and opening a Camarón and Tomatito show he became visible for the world of flamenco. He accompanied singers like Duquende and countless dancers. But his performances with the lyric soprano Julia Migenes, the double bass player Renaud Garcia-Fons, the saxophonist Jean-Marc Padovani and the singers Abed Azrié and Yasmin Lévi, reflect the musical frontiers he has overcome.
